The Bothy is a fabulous little cottage. Small but perfectly formed, with lovely furnishings and great appliances, it was just right for the two of us and our cocker spaniel. (The bed is that big, my wife and I were sleeping in different postcodes.) The panoramic view from the patio and garden is absolutely incredible - we were so lucky with the weather that the private outside space became our living room for the week. And a soak in the excellent hot tub was the perfect way to end each day (just for me and my wife - the dog was happy to have a nap while we enjoyed the spa facilities). It's surrounded by beautiful rolling fields and we had frequent visits from cows and pheasants during our stay. Another Pheasant, the wonderful Inn nearby, was a very pleasant place to eat & drink, though the 20 minute walk to it is quite uphill, so be warned. The Bear pub in Tattenhall, 5 minutes by car, is also well worth a visit. Would highly recommend the Bothy, it's a wonderful cottage and the team who look after it are lovely helpful people too. Just one tip - if you have a pair, make sure you take binoculars with you, you'll be able to enjoy spending hours surveying the vast horizon.
