Courtyard cottage nestles charmingly and privately on the Cholmondeley Castle estate, located in beautiful countryside between Tarporley and Whitchurch. It is a peaceful and idyllic spot to unwind and go for long walks with excellent pubs nearby.

It is a one bedroom cottage with 2 beds available in the sitting room which can be used if there are children or extra adults.

A wood burning stove with logs is available, making it very cosy and inviting to come back to after a busy day exploring.

There is parking for 2–3 cars and a large field to exercise dogs at your disposal (only not available if sheep are grazing).

An attractive patio/terrace with table and chairs to sit and relax with a drink on a glorious evening, and another table can be placed under the walnut tree to give shade during a hot summer.

Dogs can be walked around the pond and tennis court area of the garden.

AstroTurf Tennis court available from late spring and throughout the summer.

Tea, coffee, milk and sugar are provided.

The kitchen is well equipped with electric cooker and hob, microwave, fridge and electric food warmer. There is also a dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer.

Bathroom looks out on to the garden and fields with a good bath to soak in and hand held shower for hair washing. Good size heated towel rail.

The bedroom is attractive and comfortable with a super king size bed that can be made into 2 single beds if required, with a large cupboard and shelves and views into the garden.

Courtyard Cottage has easy access to many places, including Bunbury, Crewe, Nantwich, Tarporley, Whitchurch, Chester and Wrexham.

Local attractions include Beeston Castle, Cholmondeley Castle Gardens, Bolesworth Castle international horse show, the Peckforton hills, Bewilderwood, Chester Zoo, Racing at Chester racecourse, nearby golf courses.

Capesthorne Hall near Macclesfield offer wonderful attractions including Lapland from November – Christmas.

Joderall Bank where the landmark Lovell Telescope, astronomy displays and the observatory’s scientific heritage make a great day out.

The village of Bunbury lies at the western edge of the Cheshire Plain some 3 miles from Tarporley and 12 miles southeast of the city of Chester. Little is known of its history prior to the Norman conquest but it is generally accepted that the name is of Saxon origin and it is thought that there was a Christian place of worship on the site of the present parish church long before 1066. Early references to the settlement call it Bunan byrig, the stronghold of Buna. The village today has a supermarket, three pubs and the striking St Boniface Church which is recorded in the National Heritage List of England as a designated Grade I listed building. Eight miles away lies the popular market town of Nantwich, home to regular markets throughout the week and monthly farmer’s market showcasing the best of produce from the local area, whilst there are also many events throughout the year including The Jazz and Blues Music Festival at Easter and the famous Cheese Awards in July. Further afield lies the historic, walled city of Chester, filled with a range of independent shops and welcoming eateries catering for all taste buds. Make memories in the North West from Bunbury.
