Inside, a beautifully appointed living area has a contemporary kitchen with all the home comforts, including an electric oven, gas hob, built-in microwave, and fridge/freezer. There's even a washer/dryer to keep your walking gear and towels fresh!

As night falls, retreat to the sitting area with two cushioned sofas, one of which being a sofa bed for extra guests, and an electric fire and Smart TV to while away the evenings in comfort. After tucking in the youngsters in the twin room, you'll find a sumptuous king-size bed where you can watch the wall-mounted Smart TV, along with an en-suite WC and wash basin for your convenience. This civil parish includes the villages of Great Broughton and Little Broughton in Cumbria. This quiet village is 3 miles west of Cockermouth, just north of the River Derwent, and on the bus route to Cockermouth. Little Broughton is a mix of modern estates and traditional homes. Bassenthwaite Lake, Ennerdale Water, and Derwent Water are all within walking distance of the town. Worthington, on Cumbria's west coast, has more shops, bars, and two theatres. A beautiful ruin, Curwen Hall was used to shelter Mary Queen of Scots on her last flight to Scotland before her execution. It's less than a 30-minute drive to the Solway Firth, and the Lakeland Hills await exploration to the east. Keswick has a vibrant town centre with more shops, mini golf, the famous Theatre by the Lake, the Pencil Museum, fishing and mountain biking.
