. This impressive Georgian country house, with adjoining owners’ annexe, stands in 3 acres of lawned garden in the farming hamlet of Edderside, a small rural community close to the Cumbrian coastline and a sandy beach in Allonby (2 miles). The extensive holiday accommodation has been restored with great attention to detail and style, retaining character and furnished comfortably. It is situated in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, with views across the garden and countryside towards the Skiddaw mountain range in the Lake District, and enjoys stunning sunsets towards the Scottish hills from the front. The route 72 national cycle way runs past the house, and countryside and shoreline walks abound. There is a championship golf course at Silloth with others nearby. The Solway marshes are popular with bird watchers and fishermen, nature lovers, and watersport enthusiasts are all well catered for. Alternatively relax in the walled, fenced and gated grounds with plenty of sitting out areas. Centrally located between the lakeside town of Keswick and the historic city of Carlisle (both 23 miles) this is an excellent location for families and groups of friends wishing to explore the Lake District, Scottish Border and Cumbrian Coast. The interesting and traditional market town of Cockermouth (birthplace of Wordsworth) is 11 miles. Shops and pubs 2 miles.
additional charges-There is a £200 security deposit payable on 2 weeks prior to arrival. The banister/balustrade height of this property is less than 1m and the gaps between the spindles are more than 10cm.
