High Rigg Woodland Cottage receives glowing reviews for its stunning decor, cosy atmosphere, and beautiful surroundings. Guests praise the friendly hosts, Brenda and David, and appreciate the thoughtful touches like homemade cakes and wine. The property's cleanliness, comfortable furnishings, and well-equipped facilities, including a hot tub, contribute to a highly recommended and peaceful stay.
Reviewers consistently mention the cottage's cleanliness, highlighting it as spotless and well-maintained, which indicates a top-notch level of hygiene and care.
The location is praised for its peacefulness, beautiful views, and proximity to local attractions. It serves as an excellent base for exploring Cumbria and the Lake District, though the lack of a footpath to the nearby pub suggests a slight deduction.
Guests find the cottage extremely comfortable, with quality furnishings, cosy log burners, and warm bedrooms. The presence of en-suite bathrooms and effective radiators adds to the overall comfort.
The facilities, including a well-equipped kitchen, hot tub, and log burner, are frequently commended. The hot tub, in particular, is a highlight for many. A minor suggestion for more instructions for the hot tub indicates a small room for improvement.
The hosts' thoughtfulness is evident in the personal touches such as homemade scones, wine, and a welcoming fire. While these gifts greatly enhance the experience, it is noted that such gestures, though common, are not guaranteed for every stay.

Beautiful surroundings quiet and peaceful. Absolutely nothing to complain about. David and Brenda the owners were very helpful. Yes, we will be back. We left a container of rice in one of the kitchen drawers that we forgot. Please let the owners know, use it. Roland De Silva

Only minor criticism would have been , a few more instructions for the hot tub , and maybe a few more local instructions like pubs , taxis etc . But a fantastic place , the photos donât give it justice , amazing views and beautiful location .
