Dalston is a settlement located in Cumbria's Carlisle district, which was formerly a part of Cumberland. The red sandstone church of St. Michael, which dates to the 13th century, is located in the town centre, and Dalston Hall is a magnificent Grade II listed structure with character and landscape gardens that is frequently used as a wedding location. The palace of the Bishops of Carlisle, Rose Castle, is about two miles south of Dalston; it is closed to the public but may be seen from the road. With two Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty, one World Heritage Site, numerous pedestrianised commercial areas, award-winning malls, vibrant farmer's markets, and a classic Victorian indoor market, Carlisle, a 2000-year-old city, is reachable in four and a half miles. Dalston is an excellent starting point for outdoor enthusiasts because it also offers easy access to the stunning North Pennines aonb and the Lake District National Park.
