Good location for exploring the Cumbrian coast and Western Lake District. Quiet position with decking seating area overlooking the quay, daily visit from a kingfisher perching on a mooring rope was a surprise.House is well equipped and maintained.

Great holiday absolutely spotless ,well equipped and beautiful location.. Kingfishers rest is a must go to for everyone. Right on an estuary with the beach one minute away. It was the perfect location for sight seeing relaxing and the dogs absolutely loved the beach .

If you want a place to stay that is quiet, clean and comfortable with the beach and nature reserve on your doorstep, then this is it.There is a local store , pub and fish and chip shop within walking distance.The southern and western Lake District areas are all within an hours drive to explore. Stunning scenery and locations to visit. You don’t need to visit the busy areas such as Windermere or Coniston to enjoy the area as there are other quieter places to visit which are just as good, if not better. We had two dogs with us who were able to stay in the cottage and were able to enjoy the quiet beaches and the 4 mile circular walk from the front door. This was our second time at the cottage and we will look to be back as it was that enjoyable. The owners left a superb welcome pack on arrival, including wine, milk and other treats.I would totally recommend this cottage.
