Guests say

The Beach House at Whinthwaite is a spacious and well-maintained property, ideal for large groups and family gatherings. Its proximity to the beach and local amenities like a pub, chip shop, and ice cream parlour adds to its charm. Guests have enjoyed the stunning views, large garden, and features like a pool table and hot tub, despite some issues with heating and maintenance.

The property is generally found to be clean and comfortable. However, there was an instance of dog poo in the garden, suggesting occasional oversight.

The location is highly praised for its easy beach access, nearby conveniences, and beautiful sunset views, making it perfect for a relaxing holiday.

The house is spacious with comfortable bedrooms, but several reviews mention it being cold, particularly on the ground floor and in the conservatory, affecting the overall comfort.

Facilities like the hot tub and pool table are appreciated, but issues with heating, shower pressure, and maintenance detract from the experience.

There are no mentions of gifts or special touches that would indicate thoughtfulness from the hosts, so this score cannot be provided.

Lovely big spacious house, very nicely decorated, had everything we needed for a great weekend with friends. Perfect location for a walk on the beach and for exploring the Western Lake District. I was glad I had packed my slippers as the house is a little chilly.

Lovely big house. Lots of space for children to run around. Unfortunately 1 of the bedrooms was unusable due to the window being loose. The owners had tried to seal the frame with tape but it has started to come away and due to high winds on the day we arrived the curtains were blowing away from the window. We only needed 8 of the 9 bedrooms so wasn't a problem for us. Shower pressure needs attention. We could only use 1 shower at a time due to poor shower pressure. Nice walk through the back garden to the beach made it a daily treat. Not a lot to do in the local area but if you have transport there are plenty of places to visit. We were a family of 14 and each evening the adults and children played bingo in the large living room which sat all of us comfortably and easily. This was a nightly event and went down a treat. All in all we had a great relaxing holiday in this big old house. Lots of work has been done to it and im sure lots more work to be done in the future to make this house stunning. Well worth a stay.

There was good communication with Eva from start to finish. We were given all the details in good time to be able to access the house, a very easy process. The house itself is very big and well maintained. It is within a 2 min walk to the beach with access to the rear of the house. Also in the vicinity is a pub, Chip shop, ice cream parlour and a Co-op.Overall we had a great stay and the beach house and would love to go back.See you soon.
