Having been featured on the British Home Restoration programme on TV, this unique property blends historic charm with modern amenities to provide a one-of-a-kind retreat.
Upon entering the home, you are greeted by four spacious bedrooms on the ground floor, each adorned with kingsize beds for a restful night’s sleep. The two bathrooms on this level boast shower cubicles, and one even features a deep, inviting bath for a relaxing soak. The main living area is open-plan with a well-equipped kitchen area. As you move through the kitchen, you’ll find yourself in the dining area with a grand high-ceiling and several cosy sofas. At one end of this room, a TV invites relaxation. The utility room has a washing machine and a workspace with a desk. The second living area was once the stage of the church hall, which has hosted a few famous people in its time. This expansive room, filled with natural light from its high ceilings, is a versatile space that can be used for activities such as yoga or simply as a serene area to unwind. Ascend a striking, boldly coloured staircase to discover the fifth bedroom, featuring three kingsize beds. Two additional bathrooms with shower cubicles complete the upper floor, offering both comfort and convenience. For moments of tranquillity and scenic views, the bedroom extends into a study area with breathtaking seascapes over Seascale.

We spent a family week in the Old Church Hall at Seascale. 8 family members from different parts of the country. The accommodation was spacious, beautiful and made for a fantastic time. We had breakfast and dinner at the amazing dining table, played card games and murder mystery games at night and even had a cinema evening in the huge hall at the back! The Hall is situated 5 minutes walk from the amazing beach where we walked our 4 dogs, and 3 minutes from the pub with beer garden where we watched the sun go down.Only draw back was the lack of outside space as, due to the time of year, the small garden space was constantly in shadow, and it was cold. (We went at the end of September)I cannot fault the Old Church Hall or the kind information sent before our visit by Louisa, who welcomed us on the day of arrival. I have recommended the Old Church Hall to a friend of mine as I am so sure that she will enjoy it with her family.Wonderful place, great holiday.

A stunning renovation with lots of space for a family or friends get together. Super-comfy beds. Close to beach, golf, walking. Some basic shops & train station within walking distance. Well equipped with fantastic hosts who were very thoughtful & helpful but also respectful of our privacy.

The lovely hosts are on hand for anything needed, the house is fully equipped for our week away in Seascale. The beds are really comfortable, and the host provides tea, coffee and milk for your arrival.There is a small garden next to the house with benches. The only small negative was it is not disable friendly, as I’ve had two knee replacements and there was no handrail to the garden so I had to rely on the family to assist me up and down the steep steps, there is also no access to the garden apart from via the front door so we had to get the lead on the dog, first thing in the morning and then at night so their first or last wee.We had an amazing time though and would definitely go back.
