All our needs were catered for and the additional touches of wine, beers, hot cross buns, chocolates and other food essentials on arrival went down a treat, thank you! It’s a lovely house in a super part of the country, a starting point for Hadrian’s Wall. There’s a friendly local Pub and a super Bistro just a minutes walk away. I would highly recommend a stay here.

Lots of character, really well presented and beautiful views. Rooms exceeded our expectations, with comfort and facility. The outdoor lighting could be a little better out the back and the back door steps are a little treacherous, especially pregnant. Downstairs whilst lovely, the living room doesn’t seat 12, more like 7 so that’s a good bit away. Don’t recall seeing it was a guest house, although that’s fine, I think it meant that the rooms were great but the downstairs living wasn’t as big for that number of people. That said, we still managed fine and it worked. People we’re spread out chatting and catching up.
