Devils Bridge runs over the river and you can walk alongside the river bank and take in the charming village and scenery until you reach the ancient church at the far end of the village. At Carnforth you can relax and enjoy a leisurely pace by taking a canal to Lancaster in summer months or a train to the villages above or how about a trip up the west coast. Kendal is a 20 minute drive away with both Levens Hall and its wonderful gardens and Sizergh Castle close by.
