Ulverston is a typical, cobblestone market town offering a wonderful assortment of independently owned stores, cafés, and pubs that serve real ales and have open fireplaces. From upscale dining to traditional pub fare, there is a wide variety of restaurants to satisfy every taste. Ulverston is recognised for being a festival town, hosting activities like flag-waving and walking, as well as art and music festivals throughout the summer and the renowned Dickensian Christmas celebration in late November. It offers a look into the amusing, communally spirited little town as the birthplace of Stan Laurel and the holder of the world record for the largest foam pie fight. The town and surrounding area offer wonderful walking opportunities, and there are views of Morecambe Bay and the southern Lake District from the countryside.

Property was clean and spacious with all the facilities needed. Hot tub was fantastic and well used during our stay. Scenery around the property were stunning. Owners were on hand if required and very friendly. Good location with plenty of walks in the area. Especially enjoyed walking around Tarn How and decided to walk to the top of Black Crag on route. Views of lake Windermere at the top were stunning and well worth the extra walk. Enjoyed eating out a couple of nights at The Rose & Crown in Ulverston and would highly recommend especially the Sunday roast.Would definitely return and would certainly recommend these pods to friends and family.

The location is perfect, direct access to beautiful countryside and scenery with lots to offer in Ulverston. A great base to explore the Lake District. The hot tub was great, a real highlight. Cooking facilities, bathroom/shower and bedding were all top quality and made the stay a home from home. Staying on a working farm was a bonus and the owners are lovely and very friendly, the farm has lambs, calves, chickens (and fresh eggs!) and we made friends with the dogs too. A great stay and we canât wait to return.

The place is clean and has everything you need for a nice quiet get away. Good location as close to the town which has lots of nice pubs and things to do. We will definitely be coming back.
