We had such a lovely stay in this quirky but extremely comfortable rental place. We spent many happy hours just soaking in the view from the lounge. We definitely enjoyed the sauna - the first holiday house we have had with a private sauna and it's a really good one. The slope up to the road was challenging on our bikes but made it a very private and secluded feeling place. The 'does everything' cooking appliance and the sophisticated coffee machine were great. We felt that the advertising photos undersold the property and it was far better than we expected. Being ex holiday home caretakers, we were a little disappointed by the general cleanliness of the fabric of the building - skirting boards, painted surfaces, etc. That didn't stop us having a truly lovely stay and we would have no hesitation in returning to this wonderful place.

Absolutely magnificent views, great peaceful location. Walking trails on your doorstep. Small local park for the kids. Alston not too far away. Cottage cosy 1 bedroom upstairs 1 on ground floor bathroom is in the basement level along with sauna. Overall would visit again.
