Pennine View is a delightful, semi-detached house in the pretty and quiet village of Brampton just 2½ miles from the market town of Appleby in Westmorland. It is ideally located and surrounded by both the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales National Parks, and has direct views up onto the North Pennine Fells, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
Pennine View is idea for families and friends looking for their next base to explore the best that Cumbria has to offer. There are three bedrooms on the first floor all with spectacular views onto the Pennines, a twin room, a double and a super kingsize bedroom that can be split into a second twin if you prefer. The excellent family bathroom is also on this floor. Pennine View is ideally suited for up to 4 adults and 2 children. The ground floor is where you will be doing all your entertaining; the living room has Sky TV, plus amazing views direct from your sofa onto The Pennines; a separate dining room has extra comfy seating plus a wood burner for those cold winter evenings, with more views onto the neighbouring fells; the kitchen, with separate utility room, offers a dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer, electric oven and hob to make life easy while away. Outside there is a delightful garden to the rear of the property split over two levels; the bottom level is on a patio and has seating, whilst the second level is lawned with more seating and excellent views of the Pennines again. The garden is completely enclosed, ideal for pets and children.
You are spoilt for choice when deciding what and where to go, you could easily be enjoying yourself on the water at Ullswater or hiking a fell at Blencathra or up Helvellyn all in the Lake District or village hoping around the Eden Valley enjoying the local shops, cafes and bars in Penrith, Appleby or Kirkby Stephen all within a close drive from Pennine View. There are beautiful walks to Dufton and The Pennines right from your front door. The settle to Carlisle Railway is the perfect way to explore the beautiful area, as it crosses some of the wildest countryside in England over the Ribblehead viaduct. The local pub is 275 yards from the property and is open Thursday through to Sunday, perfect for when you don’t fancy cooking or simply to enjoy an afternoon beverage.

Our new Haven of Peace.Pennine view is the most pleasant holiday home in a small village with a pub that opens at the weekends. If you are looking for a relaxing holiday in the countryside, then Pennine View is the perfect choice. There a lovely walks in and around the village and the locals are vey friendly too. Appleby and Penrith are a short distance away and worth visiting. There is a lovely riverside walk in Appleby and the shops in Penrith offer lots of variety, including United Colours of Benetton which we haven’t seen in years!A trip to Birdoswald Castle is a must, where you can explore Hadrian’s wall and the remains of the castle.Pennine View speaks for itself. It oozes character and charm whilst being practical and relaxing. The owners George and Linda have thought of everything for a comfortable stay. Goodies for the dog, including a towel, and a lovely sample of homemade Gin for us. No question of cleanliness as the owners work hard to provide a clean and welcoming home. Would we return? Would we recommend? A massive yes! We will return without hesitation as soon as we can and would most definitely recommend. There’s so much more to see and explore. Thank you George and Linda.

Beautiful home in a lovely setting.The most beautiful weekend away to celebrate the start of our 20th year. The space was perfect for our small family (2 teens, 1 child and small dog)The house is well equipped, the owner helpful and easily contactable. There were lovely little touches, like emergency milk, juice for the kids, and treats for the pooch. It's a short drive to the town which have a gorgeous walk down the river and we thoroughly recommend the pub which is welcoming and provided some very tasty food. All in all, we would definitely recommend and may even plan a sneaky return .
