A delightful little cottage set in the quaint, friendly and peaceful Biggar Village on Walney Island the perfect getaway for a couple or small family. Local pub, The Queen’s Arms, is a minute’s walk away.. 1 step to entrance.

We had a lovely stay in the rainbow cottage. Comfortable and kept warm with the log burner.Enjoyed the local pub a few times everyone was friendly. Lovely walks to coast/beach/costal paths/round the local nature reserves.

We enjoyed our stay at Rainbow Cottage and spent a lot of time looking at the eclectic collections within the cottage. We slept like logs in the comfy beds and were cosy and warm. Rainbow Cottage is a good base for exploring the wider area, and the wildlife reserve at the North End of Walney is beautiful (we could explore the one at the South End, as is does not allow dogs). We went into the Lake District as well as walking along the sea front at Walney, which is great for dogs. I found a wide range of shells and even a beautiful sea urchin. The docks are interesting and there was a submarine in the dock during our stay. Julie is very friendly and helpful and I would recommend staying at her cottage x
