Walking, hiking and sightseeing are always assured for four guests who stay here, with the splendour of the Dales on your doorstep and further appeals to be found in the Lake District (14.5 miles) and the North Pennines National Landscape (12 miles). For hikers with an energetic pet in tow, the property is also dog friendly.

Having admired them from your doorstep, hike the Howgill Fells to experience almighty views and dramatic scenes. A circular route through the fells starts and ends in nearby Sedbergh (13 miles), a relaxing town with quaint cafes and hearty pubs to frequent before or after a hike. Another pretty town is located across the hilltops at Kirkby Stephen (7 miles), again offering plenty of places for refreshments and shops to mosey around. Follow a route out of town via the banks of the River Eden for an effortless way to admire the splendid Eden Valley scenery.
