Fell View is a charming, spotlessly clean cottage in the heart of Sedbergh, praised for its cosy atmosphere and excellent location within walking distance of shops, pubs, and beautiful walks. Guests appreciate the well-equipped kitchen and comfortable beds, making it feel like a home from home. While the main bedroom is spacious, storage and hanging space in the second bedroom are limited. Some minor issues, such as the lack of a hairdryer and a missing welcome pack, were noted, but overall, guests thoroughly enjoyed their stay and would happily return.
Multiple reviews highlight the cottage as spotlessly clean and tidy, with no significant complaints about cleanliness. Only a minor mention of 'spider friends' was made, which is common in rural properties.
The location is consistently praised for being central, quiet, and within easy walking distance of Sedbergh’s amenities and the fells. Guests found it ideal for exploring the area on foot.
Guests found the cottage cosy and the beds very comfortable. However, some noted that the second bedroom is cramped for two adults and lacks storage, which slightly affected the overall comfort.
The kitchen is well stocked and appliances are of good quality. Some guests mentioned missing items such as a hairdryer, limited wardrobe space, and issues with the DVD player, but these were minor compared to the overall positive feedback.
Guests appreciated extras like hand soap, washing up supplies, and kitchen essentials. However, a promised welcome pack was not provided for one guest. Please note that gifts or welcome packs are not guaranteed.

Lovely clean house, very comfortable in a good location. The main bedroom lacks a dressing table and the only drawer is under the bed. The second bedroom only has hooks on the wall for your clothes. This didn't stop us enjoying are stay but could be improved. We felt disappointed that we didn't get the promised welcome pack on arrival. I would visit the cottage again and say it's a very pleasant place to stay.

The house is nicely decorated and clean and tidy. The house would benefit from having a number on it so that you don’t need to work out which house it is from the other numbered houses and then check for the key box just in case you have the wrong house, which is how I knew it was the right house when the code worked on the key box. It is a small thing but it would help. The village of Sedburgh is quaint and has lots of book shops if you like to wander and also an amazing fruit shop which also had other grocery items. We also enjoyed a visit to the cafe for tea and toasted teacakes which were lovely. The hills surrounding the area are impressive. There were no dishwasher tablets or washing machine tablets but that was ok as I brought some of my own just in case. The dvd player was not connected to the tv and when I checked, it looked like it didn’t have the correct cable to connect it but I may be wrong. This was a little disappointing as we had bought a couple of DVDs to watch. There is nowhere to hang up clothes in the main bedroom just a bookcase which if you wanted to you could fold your clothes and put them on there. We just lived out of our suitcases. Having said all that, we had a lovely relaxing time there and those things were just little niggles.
