It’s just 2 miles from Sedbergh, an appealing Cumbrian town known for its selection of independent bookshops and is just 8.5 miles from the Lake District gateway town of Kendal. Bring the whole family along to experience the splendour of this place – this property hosts a total of eight guests and is dog friendly too.
Wander up the pleasant garden path through the enclosed, grassy garden to reach the property’s front door. Once indoors, find a multitude of exemplary spaces to enjoy sociable evenings in, including a sunroom, a snug and a main lounge with a TV, seating and that all-important wood burner. The kitchen is a farmhouse-styled favourite with stone-flagged flooring, all of the mod-cons required and a central island to centre family life around. Step through an arched doorway to reach a dining table where meals can be enjoyed together. Pass the downstairs bathroom with its feature sink before moving upstairs. Each of the four bedrooms is attractive and spacious, accompanied by a second bathroom on the first floor.
Wander through rugged country roads to reach Sedbergh where old English pubs, quality restaurants and a handful of markets selling artistic wares co-exist. On the edge of the town is Farfield Mill (3 miles), a former Victorian wool mill which now holds exhibition spaces and studios. For walkers and bikers, discover the Howgill fells, mosey along the banks of the River Lune or tackle a portion of The Dales Way (both 0.5 miles), following this pathway east to Dent (7 miles) or west to Burneside (10.5 miles).
