Head indoors to locate the compact yet well-equipped kitchen, where you can rustle up simple meals, ready to be enjoyed either indoors or alfresco with a tipple in hand. As the night unfolds, prepare for a soak in the hot tub, as the stars appear overhead, before sloping off to sleep in the plush double bed; there's also a sofa bed to accommodate four guests in total. The fact that it is the birthplace of Stan Laurel and the site of the largest foam pie battle in history offers an insight into the lively, vibrant small town.
