Lytham and St. Annes-on-Sea, two beach resort towns, are situated along a beautiful stretch of shoreline dotted with lovely parks. For generations, this beautiful area's economy relied solely on fishing, but the advent of the Industrial Revolution led to the wealthy establishing a prosperous area that has endured to the present day. From the Lytham seashore, it's only a few minutes' walk to the lush Clifton Street, where you'll find a variety of unique shops, cafes, and restaurants. Lytham Green is a grassy area between the beach and the major coastal road that serves as a landmark due to its location, proximity to the coastline, and views of the River Ribble and the Welsh Mountains. It is also the site of the Old Lytham Lifeboat House Museum and the restored Windmill. Beer enthusiasts can explore the Lytham Brewery, while nature lovers and birdwatchers will enjoy the Ribble Estuary, which provides shelter to over 250,000 migrating birds every winter, and the sweeping sand dunes of St. Annes-on-the-Sea. There are four golf courses in the area, the most famous of which is the Royal Lytham & St. Annes Golf Club, which has hosted the Open Championship on two separate occasions.
