Really enjoyed our break at Burrow Meadows. The apartment was warm, comfortable, clean, well-equipped, with quality fittings throughout. It was disappointing that the adjacent health club / hotel had closed down, so the attraction of free use of the gym and pool was lost. It did not spoil our ‘holiday’ as there are so many interesting places in easy reach. Kirkby Lonsdale is not the only attractive market town in the area worth visiting and the scenery is wonderful. We did the Ingleton Falls walk/trail and the weather was kind enough to allow us to play golf at Castleton and Kirkby Lonsdale, both well worth playing for different reasons, but all good!

The apartment was clean, kitchen well equipped everything you needed for a week away. Great views from the out door seating area across the fields.. Kirkby Lonsdale 30 minute walk..Perfect for visiting the Lake District, Ribblehead viaduct, Devils Bridge, and surrounding area..

The Meadows is a lovely peaceful area, however, The public house / hotel, is now closed and the leisure centre is shutting down which is a shame as all you could want was on the doorstep, but the burrows is a lovely smaller retreat and a great base to stay and explore.Kirkby Lonsdale being only a short distance away. The area has been neglected a bit compared to its glory days pre covid ,but excellent value, would return and encourage others to visit.
