Nearby, Arnside offers wonderful views across Morecambe Bay to Grange-over-Sands, and the branch line runs across the estuary via the viaduct to the town, making for an interesting day trip. A walk to NT-owned Arnside Knott, through the woods up to the Pepper Pot at Silverdale, will immerse you in the sights and sounds of this lovely Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Birdwatchers at this Silverdale cottage will enjoy a visit to Leighton Moss RSPB reserve, just a short walk away, while golfers will enjoy Silverdale Golf Club, several minutes' from the property. Situated on the shores of Morecambe Bay, the pretty and quiet coastal village of Silverdale is within easy driving distance of Both Silverdale and Arnside - each town being host to a good selection of shops, cafes and pubs. The local area surrounding the village is a paradise for nature lovers and boasts stunning limestone pavements, wonderful woodland walks through countryside and numerous rare plants, trees and wildlife, as well as the internationally renowned Leighton Moss rspb Reserve, situated just one mile from Silverdale itself. Further afield but still within easy touring distance are the Lake District and Lune Valley as well as the stunning Yorkshire Dales and The Forest of Bowland.

Pye's owner is polite, kind and helpful. We had the benefit of feeling very private, but not totally isolated, with the adjoining cottage. Building work currently happening next door did not impact us at all - the builders work 9-4 ish, I think. I suspect they've nearly finished. Silverdale village, about 1/4mile away along a road with passing places is picturesque and very friendly, has all the basics of what you'll need for your stay

This is our third visit to Pye Hall Cottage. Lovely cottage with character, very clean, modern kitchen, comfy beds, lovely views, perfect location for nature lovers/walkers. A very relaxing break. Would definitely visit again.
