If you can tear yourself away, the town of Carnforth is just a short drive away, where you can marvel at the breathtaking landscapes at Warton Crag Local Reserve or let the kids blow off some steam in the lush Nether Kellet Playground, before tucking into a freshly prepared picnic.
The unspoilt market town of Kirkby Lonsdale is also within easy reach and boasts wonderfully characterful shops, pubs and eateries, along with the historic Devil's Bridge and the beautiful scenery which you can get a full view of from Ruskin's View! Be sure to visit Pine Lake if you want to try your hand at watersports during your visit; choose from water skiing, kayaking and canoeing, or just enjoy a day with the inflatable water toys - fun for all the family.
