The cottage sits at the heart of the popular Lune Valley village of Casterton, next door to the 18th-century village pub. Casterton has a 9-hole golf course which is open to non-members and is set in beautiful scenery overlooking the town. There are many lovely local walks available from the doorstep with wonderful views all round. Casterton is very close to Kirkby Lonsdale, a mere 35-minute pleasant walk or 5-minute drive. The town has many independent shops, bars and restaurants and a supermarket, and is home to Devil’s Bridge, a nature trail walk into the wooded gorge with spectacular views of the 300ft Mynach Waterfalls.
