A five minute drive from Twin Lakes brings you to the base of Hutton Roof Crags, and a thirty minute walk takes you to the summit where a breathtaking view of the Lakeland mountains, the Lune Valley and Morecambe Bay awaits you.

Lovely lodge, a good base as nothing on the site - no country club!Beware the £25 breakages charge regardless of whether you break anything and the £10 Wi-Fi fee that you only find out about from the person at the door with a card machine in their hand!

The only teeny thing that was missing was hand wash/hand gel at sinks, just given the pandemic and increased emphasis on washing your hands as this is something we totally forgot. However it’s so minor it didn’t affect our stay at all and our experience was still 10/10
