Open plan lounge/kitchen/dining room with doors to a private terrace, seating area and an outdoor bubbling hot tub. The kitchen features a fridge/freezer, dishwasher, wine cooler, washing machine and tumble dryer, and there is also a utility room with a sink for washing boots. Early check-in at 2pm is available at this site but must be booked and paid for at least 1 week prior to arrival. Due to the fact that lodges need to be cleaned and hot tubs drained, cleaned and refilled after every guest has vacated, check-in time is strictly 3pm onwards at this site unless an early check-in has been booked prior to arrival".
There will be that routine grounds maintenance being undertaken on the lakes to remove reeds growing in the lakes. This will be undertaken in all the lakes on site and should not affect your stay in any way apart from the slight noise of the machinery on site.

Nice lodge, could do with a touch up of paint as quite grubby. Staff on the other hand… there isn’t any, reception says open from 8-4 but nobody in there, our dishwasher had a fault and there was nobody in reception to report to just a man who was doing work to a new lodge being put up. He said he would get someone to come but it would be the next day and nobody came. Hot tub was nice but never got tested daily and had no chlorine in for the duration of our stay. I brought my own test strips… I work on a 5* holiday park in the Lake District and the tubs are checked daily and maintenance is done on the day reported.

I stayed there for Christmas 2025. It was amazing. The lodge was lovely, set on the lake. The rooms were perfect in size and provided everything necessary for a perfect getaway. It is without a doubt that we will return. I absolutely loved the hot tub. 5 stars from us.

A lovely few days spent relaxing at Christmas time. local shops only being 7-10 minutes away walking. Staff very welcoming and friendly.
