The town of West Kirby is full of shops and restaurants, including a large supermarket and numerous cafes and coffee shops. There are regular trains from West Kirby railway station to Liverpool and Chester and buses to most other parts of the Wirral run from the station, which is a ten-minute walk from the house.

The beach at West Kirby is a short walk along the promenade, beach towels are provided. Bikes can be hired from Bikes and Boards on Banks Road, a two minute walk from the house and various water sport activities on the Marine Lake are available to book via Wirral Watersports Centre.

The Merseyside town of West Kirby is known for its quirky streets and Tudor architecture. With a waterfront for strolling along and a selection of quality restaurants, the town is an ideal base for a seaside break and is also within reach of a wealth of attractions. The Wirral line train makes travelling throughout Merseyside and Cheshire an easy task, with Liverpool within accesible reach. Enjoy a day at the beach followed by a meal out; why not try the popular Hickory's Smokehouse, or stock up in the local supermarkets. The Royal Liverpool Golf Club lies north of the town, while Caldy lies to the south, and heading away from the town, the delightful Port Sunlight makes for a charming day out among historic buildings.
