I really want to give a 5 star review, (so I have. I couldn’t justify dropping to four stars but will include the caveat that made me doubt the 5 stars) because this place was ideal for our family holiday. It is not obvious from the photos that the accommodation is part of the main residence. A section of the west wing. That makes it feel special straight away. And the place is so spacious. The airy entrance hall is amazing. The furnishings are modern clean and homely. Everything you need is there. The caveat was a pronounced damp smell as you enter the building. A little concerning, but you don’t notice it after a few minutes. Though each time you come back to the residence you are welcomed by it. Being on the grounds of Paxton House is great just to explore on its own and the location to is perfect to get to so many different iconic places is fantastic. The first night we got there we walked to eat at the Cross Inn. I cannot praise that place enough. Though a bit pricey the staff were great and that reminds me I need to review them separately. Overall a fantastic holiday that we would look forward to return to.
