The Nook is a quirky and gorgeous cottage situated in Beeley, originally an estate village inhabited by employees of the Duke of Devonshire. The cosy lounge with a traditional fireplace complete with a log burning stove and wooden beams overhead, is elegantly decorated and comfortable. Enjoy a meal cooked in the light and airy, well equipped kitchen around the dining table with friends and family. The bathrooms are modern and the bedrooms ooze luxury with their fluffy pillows and crisp linen. Attention to detail and a great deal of character ripples throughout, making this cottage special. 

Grab your walking boots and head out for a wander along the river, where you’ll soon find the grand Chatsworth House and gardens. Beautiful walks radiate from the centre of the village, up the hill to Beeley Moor passing the waterfalls in Hell Bank Plantation. If you’re looking for a more challenging walk, try the Derwent Valley Heritage Trail - you won’t be disappointed. Hire a bike and discover the recently opened tunnels and amazing views along the Monsal Trail. If your legs are tired from all the walking and cycling, a short car journey away is the spa town of Matlock, beautiful Bakewell or for some serious retail therapy head to the Peak Shopping Village in Rowsley. On your return to The Nook, make sure you save some time to visit the local Devonshire Arms for a delicious meal and a couple of drinks before strolling back to the cottage, just up the lane. Finish the day off with a glass of something special on the patio under a blanket of stars.
