About this property

Greystones is a very pretty cottage in a peaceful location just up the lane from the centre of the famous Peak District village of Hartington. It provides very cosy and comfortable holiday accommodation just a stroll away from the two village shops, two pubs, tea rooms and incredible local cheese store.

Hartington is just brilliant, set around the village duck pond and surrounded by glorious countryside. Wonderful walks go off in every direction, down into lovely Dovedale, across to magnificent Manifold Dale or over the 'tops' on the Midshire's Way.  Parsley Hay cycle hire on the nearby Tissington Trail, a visit to Arbor Low's stone circle or a pie and a pint in the superb Butchers Arms in Reaps Moor are other enjoyable ways of spending an afternoon.

If Hartington is the perfect Peak District location then please remember that all Derbyshire's other attractions - castles, caverns, cable cars, canals, steam trains, tram rides, water sports, historic houses, craft centres and theme parks, including Alton Towers, - are all within 20 minutes drive of the cottage. But make sure you get back in time for a meal in the Devonshire Arms pub in the square. The food is fantastic!

Cottage facilities: 

A cosy and comfortable lounge with lovely suite, glowing log burning stove. T.V, DVD, Freeview and Wifi. A dining kitchen with table and chairs, quality units, hard wood surfaces, hob, oven, multifunctional microwave, large fridge/freezer, dishwasher and automatic washer/dryer. An attractive double bedroom with king-size bed and views over the village. A second bedroom with king-size bed (zip and link twin beds) and similar views. A super bathroom with bath/shower over and W.C.

Linen and towels are provided. Heating, power and an initial supply of logs for the stove are included. A cot and high chair can be requested. There is seasonal external seating looking over the village. There is parking for one car next to the cottage and lots of other spaces on the quiet lane adjacent. There is secure storage for bikes. Pets and smoking in the cottage are not permitted. Access for people with disabilities may be difficult.

Weekly bookings are normally Friday to Friday but short breaks are available throughout the year except Xmas and New Year.
