Walkers can join sections of the Limestone Way or choose from several circular routes leading towards Elton, Birchover and Youlgreave, where wide valley views, rocky outcrops and rural lanes reward every step. Matlock (5 miles) and Matlock Bath (6 miles) boast riverside strolls, family attractions and the famous cable cars at the Heights of Abraham. A little further, the magnificent Chatsworth House (9 miles) promises grand gardens, woodland trails and impressive art collections. And of course, no visit is complete without popping to Bakewell (6 miles) for its riverside paths, independent shops and the iconic Bakewell pudding.
