This lovely cottage boasts period features with a contemporary style décor providing cosy accommodation for a couple or small family. Set over three floors, this cosy cottage is tastefully decorated throughout with a modern bathroom and two lovely bedrooms featuring old period style beams creating a cottage atmosphere with modern touches. On the ground floor is a modern, well-equipped kitchen with everything you'll need during your stay. The open plan sitting room with dining area has a stone feature wall and a woodburner and provides a lovely place to sit and relax after a day exploring this historic village. Outside there is a pretty garden to the front of the cottage and a lovely place to sit and enjoy a drink in the evening sun, whilst planning your adventures for the next day. Tideswell is an attractive Derbyshire village set in the heart of the stunning Peak District National Park and makes an ideal base for cycling, walking and climbing. You can potter from café to café and take in the shops or enjoy the gentle walks around this ancient village. Also worth visiting is the nearby nature reserve featuring a delightful sculpture trail. The spa town of Buxton and the market town of Bakewell are just a short drive away making this accommodation an enjoyable place to stay at any time of the year.
The village of Tideswell stands in the heart of the Peak District National Park. Famous for its fine church dedicated to St John the Baptist, known as "The Cathedral of the Peak", the village is also noted for its well dressing and carnival wakes. There is excellent walking with rugged peaks to the north, gentle hills and dales to the south and Millers Dale just outside the village. Mam Tor and Castleton are only a few miles away and the popular Spa town of Buxton is within a 15 minute drive. Tideswell has many fine country inns, a chemist, butchers, bakers and much more including a convenient supermarket open daily until 10pm. The pretty little market town of Bakewell is also just a short drive away and well worth a visit.
