Nice quiet location with stunning views and a lovely host.Close to bars and restaurants and a short drive to centre of Holmfirth (Although we did walk it once) Great base for other attractions. Would recommend a visit to Wentworth Woodhouse, Yorkshire Sculpture Park and the Keighley and Worth Valley Steam Railway. All within an hour and provided a full day's entertainment. And had a day at Headingley cricket, also less than an hours drive.Holmfirth itself has a wide variety of shops and cafes including several bakeries and independent gift shops. The Crystal Apothecary is a must visit.We would highly recommend the Cheese and Deli Shop for lunch. We had rare beef and blue cheese, and local ham and cheddar toasties and they were scrumptious! Also have a great deli section and we bought several cheeses and chutnies for an evening in. We did a lot of travelling but the cottage is perfect if you just wanted somewhere to chill out for the week. The patio/garden area benefits particularly from morning sunshine. The cottage has a gorgeous bedroom and bathroom with some beautiful lamps throughout.

A very quiet place to relax. Easy reachable footpaths for Long or short walks. Once at The cottage you don't need a Car Bus Stop to next Towns only 5 mins. away. Cottage very cosy & owner very friendly.Pubs and Holme Cricket Club are are very near are worth a visit.All in all very recomendable..
