A few of the activities you can enjoy in the area is ample walking and cycling, you are spoilt for choice with outdoor activities, there are many trails amongst the gritstone edges, the moorlands and woodlands. There are many places for rock climbing among the variety of crags. Take a drive to the picturesque villages of Hathersage and Castleton where you can visit Peveril Castle and explore the underground wonders of the Blue John Cavern. Chatsworth House is just a short drive away and has wonderful gardens to walk around as well as the house. An added bonus of Ringinglow Toy Cottage is the local pubs and cafés within walking distance of the cottage.

Lovely little cottage. Fantastic location for peak district walks / cycles and a short drive into Sheffield, which was ideal for us as we were going to watch the snooker. Excellent pub literally round the corner, serving many good beers and some great home-made food. Accommodation is compact but perfect for the 2 of us. Never had a better host, very communicative and helpful. Highly recommended.
