A quiet country lane leads steeply down to Wetton Mill with its popular tearoom at the side of the River Manifold and alongside the Manifold Way, which was the former route of the Manifold Light Railway, now offered as one of the many wonderful tracks for walkers and cyclists, with the stunning views from hiking up neighbouring Thor’s Cave also being well-worth the effort! Nearby visitor attractions include the stunning Chatsworth House, home to the Duke and Duchess of Devonshire with its impressive painted hall, sculpture gallery, 105-acres of garden and so much more splendour to discover, as well as medieval Haddon Hall with its equally impressive Tudor hall and Elizabethan gardens. There are plenty of walking and cycling opportunities in the area, with The Roaches, Tittesworth Reservoir and the Tissington, High Peak and Monsal trails all being within easy reach.
