Reached by a good farm road, this barn conversion is set in the valley of the River Hamps, amidst the Peak District National Park. It occupies a secluded position with wonderful views over the surrounding countryside. There is excellent walking from the door with numerous local footpaths. Froghall Wharf, Foxfield Steam Railway and Alton Towers are within a 10 minute drive, with Gladstone Pottery Museum and Waterworld a little further afield. Sudbury (NT), Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall are all within 17 miles. Harvey Gate Farm makes an ideal base for visiting all the attractions the Peak District has to offer. Shops 4 miles, pub 2 miles.

Excellent for exploring the peak District

It was advertised as a romantic tranquil getaway but we didn’t realise we were adjoined to a 3 bedroom next door which had 10 people staying there it was anything but quite banging doors all the time and very loud we could even hear them having a shower it was as if it was in our cottage I’m not even sure there should have been 10 in the cottage as when we looked it up it was only 3doubke beds and 1 pull out single which by my calculations it sleeps 7 not sure that would meet any fire regulations as the premises in my view were over occupied
