Couples and family bookings only. NB: There are two unfenced water troughs in grounds.. Reached by a good farm road, this barn conversion is set in the valley of the River Hamps, amidst the Peak District National Park. It occupies a secluded position with wonderful views over the surrounding countryside. There is excellent walking from the door with numerous local footpaths. Froghall Wharf, Foxfield Steam Railway and Alton Towers are within a 10 minute drive, with Gladstone Pottery Museum and Waterworld a little further afield. Sudbury (NT), Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall are all within 17 miles. Harvey Gate Farm makes an ideal base for visiting all the attractions the Peak District has to offer. Shops 4 miles, pub 2 miles.

Super location in Peak District, though a bit remote. Adrian, the owner, super friendly and helpful. Accommodation has all mod cons but a bit squeezed for space - but, there again, very good value for money.

We enjoyed our weekend away and the warm welcome we received.It would have been nice to have more crockery (eg mugs) than the often basic 2 of everything.
