The cottage sits within two acres of grounds, which include the owner's home, and which were formerly part of Lord Roborough's 6000 acre estate. You are welcome to explore the gardens or enjoy the beautiful views from the private patio. Inside, Foxgloves is elegantly styled and furnished, a perfect choice for that 'special occasion'. The lounge is warm and spacious and the kitchen very well equipped for cooking, always assuming you haven't been tempted by the delicious lunches served at The Old Pump House cafe on the banks of the Tavy nearby.
Surrounded by Dartmoor, the South Hams and the South Devon coast, Plymouth offers both heritage and beauty. Wander the narrow streets with their shops, restaurants and art galleries and down to the Barbican quayside. Visit the Hoe with its view across the harbour and where Francis Drake played bowls as the Armada sailed into view. Tour the Plymouth Gin distillery, watch a show at the Theatre Royal or go to the National Marine Aquarium. There are boat trips around the Sound and Naval dockyards, watersports at the Mountbatten Centre and the city centre shopping. The tors of Dartmoor, beach resorts of Torbay, stately homes and gardens and coastal scenery of South Cornwall can be reached in under 45 minutes.
