Waddington is a pretty village nestling in the hills and dales of the Ribble Valley, north-west of Clitheroe and west of Skipton. With three pubs serving food, two churches, a Post Office and a bowling green, Waddington is an excellent village base for a holiday in this area. The village is a regular winner of the Lancashire Best Kept Village awards. The surrounding Forest of Bowland, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, is a peaceful and picturesque haven. For amenities, the nearby market town of Clitheroe is famed for its specialist shops of all types, including, a sausage shop that sells over seventy five different varieties!
