The cottage was beautiful, in a stunning location and we really recommend staying there. Itâs so peaceful and the Aga kept us nice and warm. Itâs very dog friendly in a perfect spot for walks. Iâd read a few negative comments in reviews about the road outside being busy and noisy. Perhaps things are busier in the summer but I didnât notice any excessive traffic or noise and I am very sensitive to sound. I did notice that the windows can be shut more firmly than they were when we arrived (possibly to air the rooms?), which had an effect on street sound. All in all we had a really special stay and would recommend it to anyone who wants a break with brilliant hiking opportunities on the doorstep.

Beautifully renovated cottage with spacious accommodation. Lovely garden and good parking. Super welcome pack including afternoon tea with scones, jam and clotted cream. Road a bit noisy at times but all in all excellent holiday choice.
