Henley Bridge Holiday Cottage is a charming retreat praised for its peaceful setting and proximity to local attractions. Guests enjoy the wildlife, private garden, and the cosy ambience, with a log burner adding to the comfort. The hosts are described as friendly and accommodating, enhancing the stay.
The cottage is generally well-received for cleanliness, with comfortable beds and tidy rooms. However, a few guests noted the presence of cobwebs, suggesting room for improvement.
The location is highly regarded for its tranquillity and easy access to historical sites and the coast. The rural setting offers a quiet escape with abundant wildlife.
Guests find the cottage comfortable, with clean beds and a cosy lounge. The presence of a log burner is a highlight, although the single bathroom is noted as a slight inconvenience.
While guests are satisfied with the provided facilities, including a well-appointed kitchen and reliable Wi-Fi, there is insufficient detail to fully assess maintenance, leading to a null score.
The hosts' thoughtfulness is evident through the provision of welcome items such as milk and eggs, and the well-stocked log supply for the burner. It's worth noting that such gestures, while appreciated, may vary with each stay.

A lovely little gem of a cottage, surrounded by trees, off the beaten track. A perfect place to get away from it all and recharge. Plenty of birdlife to admire from the comfort of the porch; and a plethora of local attractions and historical landmarks to visit all on the doorstep. The hosts are friendly, welcoming and on hand should you need assistance, but respectful of your privacy.

I stayed for 4 nights in June 2025. The location was great for visiting historic properties and gardens. One double room and one twin room. One bathroom upstairs with toilet, sink, bath and separate shower. Beds were clean and comfortable enough. We liked the two sofas in the living room and the dine-in kitchen. We sometimes dined outside.Poor mobile signal there, but enhanced by the free reliable Wi-Fi.Coming from rural Devon the narrow lanes didn't bother me when driving. Own transport essential for this property. We self-catered for breakfast and evening meals. Appreciated the welcome milk, eggs and vase of flowers. Range of crockery, cooking pots and utensils provided. We bought food and drink supplies in supermarkets in Bexhill and Battle. We didn't need to use the heating while staying at the cottage. Slept with the upstairs windows open as it was hot. We liked the quiet position and the local wildlife seen daily round the bird table.

Pleasant and relaxing stay, with access to lots of places to visit. Lots of single-track lanes to navigate, but encountered few other vehicles. Rabbits, squirrels and a variety of birds in the garden, which is fully enclosed (so the view shown in the photos isn’t visible from the cottage). As it’s a rural property, spiders and their cobwebs can be expected. Lovely owners, non-intrusive but accessible. Very peaceful setting. Good internet connection, once the settings on my devices were adjusted.
