We had a wonderful comfortable stay. The property is spacious with every need catered for. We loved the wood burner in the cold cosy evenings and the view was beautiful with the very cute goats. Would definitely return. Cynthia is a lovely host and left us a very delicious welcome pack.

We enjoyed a wonderful three-night stay at Swallows Barn from 2-5 Jan 2026. The property is set in gorgeous countryside and has all the home-from-home creature comforts you could wish for. Plenty of space, comfortable, stylish furnishings and lots of extras like books and games. Outside space is glorious, and we can’t wait to return in the summer! Welcome pack with eggs, drinks and brownies/flapjacks etc was much appreciated, and seeing the beautiful goats in the fields every day was fantastic! Comfy beds, lots of storage, warm and bright living areas and friendly, welcoming owners. The Swan Inn nearby is a charming historic pub serving excellent food. Great walking nearby at Fairlight Cove and Rye Nature Reserve; Bodiam Castle well worth a visit too! We’ve stayed in many cottages in Sussex over the years, and this one takes some beating. Thank you Cynthia and Chris for your hospitality, we will be back!
