The Cart Lodge offers a peaceful getaway with friendly hosts and a charming rural setting, complete with delightful sheep. Guests appreciate the lodge's location for its tranquility and proximity to East Sussex attractions. The interior is cosy, and the property is well-equipped for self-catering, with some finding it surprisingly spacious. While most experiences are positive, there are mentions of maintenance and cleanliness issues that need addressing.
Guests have had mixed experiences with cleanliness. While some reviews do not mention any issues, one detailed review highlights the need for a deep clean and attention to dust and spider webs, suggesting room for improvement.
The location is highly praised for its peacefulness and proximity to local attractions and beaches. The rural setting with sheep and views is a highlight for many guests.
The lodge is generally found to be comfortable and cosy, with adequate space for families. However, one review mentions a cramped second bedroom, slightly lowering the score.
Facilities are well-received for self-catering needs, but there are significant concerns about maintenance, such as loose fittings and a lack of hot water due to the immersion heater's limited timing. The absence of Sky TV, despite being advertised, also affects this score.
There are no specific mentions of gifts or special thoughtful touches provided by the hosts, so it is not possible to assess this category accurately. Therefore, the score is set to null.
