Converted single-storey detached holiday barn with two shower rooms and two bedrooms. Standing adjacent to the owners home it is beautifully presented with far reaching views. The village of Hooe was once surrounded by sea although 2 miles from the coast now. Pevensey is one of the south’s leading locations for windsurfing and water sports. Battle takes its name from the 1066 Battle of Hastings, and was once home to one of the country’s largest gunpowder works. Shop 1 mile, pub ½ mile.

Beautiful location with lots to do nearby but a car essential (unless you are a very keen cyclist). Our 4 year old grandson loved running along the fields each evening and feeding biscuits to the sheep.

Had a relaxing week at the Cart Lodge. Hosts were very helpful and accommodating. Lovely, well equipped spacious cottage in a scenic setting overlooking the friendly sheep in the field next door. Pub close by served lovely food. Would highly recommend.
