Converted single-storey detached holiday barn with two shower rooms and two bedrooms. Standing adjacent to the owners home it is beautifully presented with far reaching views. The village of Hooe was once surrounded by sea although 2 miles from the coast now. Pevensey is one of the south’s leading locations for windsurfing and water sports. Battle takes its name from the 1066 Battle of Hastings, and was once home to one of the country’s largest gunpowder works. Shop 1 mile, pub ½ mile.

What a find this place was. It was in a beautiful setting, quiet and remote. The cottage was just perfect. It was cosy, comfortable and well equipped. It has absolutely everything you would need including hand soap (which I forgot to take) and things such as salt and pepper, tea, coffee, sugar, washing up liquid and all the utensils and crockery you would need. Our host was lovely and friendly. She met us at the cottage to show us around and they even left a tub of digestives for the sheep who love a biscuit! That was an added bonus, stepping outside and being greeted by the sheep who were very happy to eat a bit of biscuit. Youre not far from Eastbourne or Hastings and other lovely little towns in between. The Red Lion pub down the road did great food too. I would highly recommend this cottage.

Had a wonderful stay at the Cart Lodge, a perfect little cottage in a wonderful location. Lots to see and do and plenty of lovely places to eat out. The cottage was so well equipped with a very sweet welcome pack. Hosts were super helpful and friendly. A great stay.
