There are many National Trust and English Heritage properties to explore locally including Batemans, Scotney Castle and Battle Abbey and those wishing to venture slightly further afield, a trip to Bewl Water or Bedgebury makes for a great day out, or alternatively take a trip to the coastal towns of Bexhill, Hastings and Rye.
