Ox Lodge Barn is highly praised for its idyllic rural setting, stylish conversion, and quality furnishings. Guests enjoy the proximity to historical sites, National Trust properties, and scenic walks. The cottage is comfortable, well-equipped, and suitable for both families and wheelchair users, though one bed may need updating. The welcoming touch of fresh flowers and a cosy atmosphere contribute to a delightful stay.
There are no specific mentions of cleanliness in the reviews, so it is not possible to provide a score for this category.
The location is consistently lauded for its beautiful rural setting, close to historical attractions, National Trust sites, and good dining options. Its suitability for walkers and peacefulness adds to its charm.
Overall, guests find the cottage very comfortable, with cosy beds and a warm atmosphere. However, one mention of a less comfortable bed suggests a slight deduction in the comfort score.
The cottage is appreciated for its well-equipped kitchen, wheelchair-friendly layout, and additional amenities like wifi and board games. The mention of a shower that may not be fully accessible to some guests slightly impacts the score.
The presence of fresh flowers upon arrival indicates a level of thoughtfulness. However, as gifts are not consistently mentioned, it is important to note that such personal touches, while appreciated, may not be guaranteed.

Fantastic cottage in a gorgeous, isolated rural location, yet close to so many brilliant places. If you love history, National Trust houses, castles and gardens this is the place for you. You need a fortnight here to see everything. The cottage is a converted stables which is really idyllic. It's been beautifully converted and everything is stylish and top quality. Recommend hugely.

Had a lovely stay at Ox Barn, great location, and not too far to get to Battle and Hastings, The Wite Swan was recommended by the hosts and its was a delightful meal there on the Friday evening. Beds very comfy and nice and warm and cosy.

Absolutely loved it here, little one had a whale of a time and staff were polite. Definitely will come back in future the Mrs and I had only one little niggle one of the beds (shower bedroom) could do with updating as could feel every spring in it but other than that perfect!
