Further along the coast, are the towns of Bexhill-on-Sea (7.5 miles) and Eastbourne with the Sovereign Harbour Marina (2.5 miles), a great place for a spot of lunch whilst admiring the wide variety of boats moored up. The Towner, also in Eastbourne, is a stylish contemporary art gallery, which is not to be missed along with The Observatory Science Centre and the impressive Herstmonceux Castle situated in the same grounds, just a 5-mile drive away.
