Guests say

The Parlour is consistently praised for its cleanliness, comfort, and warm welcome from hosts Annette and Jerry. Guests appreciate the peaceful location, comfortable furnishings, and thoughtful welcome pack. While the cottage is ideal for a restful break with easy access to local attractions, some guests noted limited cooking facilities as a minor drawback.

Guests unanimously commend the Parlour for its exceptional cleanliness, describing it as 'very clean and fresh' and 'beautifully clean', which indicates a high standard of hygiene maintained by the hosts.

The location is frequently highlighted as peaceful and pleasant, with easy access to local services and attractions. The rural setting and proximity to walks and countryside are appreciated, suggesting a desirable location for guests seeking tranquility and convenience.

Comfort is a strong point for the Parlour, with numerous reviews mentioning comfortable beds, sofas, and the overall homely feel of the cottage. The property is also noted for being suitable for guests with mobility issues, adding to its comfort score.

While the overall sentiment towards the facilities is positive, there are several mentions of limited cooking facilities, including the lack of a proper oven. This suggests that while the facilities are generally good, there is room for improvement in the kitchen area.

The hosts' thoughtfulness is frequently mentioned, with guests appreciating the welcome pack. However, as gifts are not guaranteed for every stay, this score reflects the positive impact of such gestures when provided, without setting an expectation.

We had an excellent stay at the Parlour and would thoroughly recommend for a short/long break. Annette and Jerry are lovely hosts. The refurbishment of the Parlour has been sympathetically done. Very homely and comfortable with many extra facilities including a washer and drier.
