Resting within the boundaries of the New Forest National Park, Longmead is a comfortable holiday home for up to four guests. Built by the Beaulieu Estate, the cottage was originally for farm workers on the local Sowley Estate.
Inside, the lounge has comfortable seating with a Smart TV and a decorative electric stove for cosy evenings in, with additional seating areas in the light-filled porch and large hallway. The country dining kitchen opens out onto the large patio area, with wooden dining set and benches for al-fresco summer drinks and meals. Upstairs are two bedrooms, one with a king size bed and the other a twin, and a bathroom with separate shower cubicle completes the accommodation. Farmland views can be had from every window, giving a sense of peace and tranquillity in each room.
The New Forest National Park, with miles of footpaths and cycle tracks to explore amongst the free-roaming ponies, donkeys and cattle is right on the doorstep. The Georgian coastal market town of Lymington, a pleasant 20-minute drive, has all your shopping and sailing needs. From here, you can also catch the ferry to the Isle of Wight for an exciting day out across The Solent! Other local attractions include The National Motor Museum and Palace House and gardens at Beaulieu, Exbury Gardens, Paulton’s Park with Peppa Pig World and the New Forest Wildlife Park. The pretty New Forest villages are within easy travelling distance, as are the beaches of the south coast.
The cottage stairs are quite narrow, so may not be suitable for young children, hence this property does not accept children under the age of five years old.
