Situated in the centre of the forest this is an ideal base for travelling around the forest and surrounding areas. The lodge is comfortable and cosy. We stayed in -3 frosty conditions and we were toasty warm. Plenty of wildlife to be seen including birds, deer, horses and free range pigs. Only a 30 minute walk to pub and two very nice cafe/farm shops. Large enclosed garden which our two dogs enjoyed and with a path leading direct to the common it is ideally situated. Enjoyed our stay so much have already booked for next New Year.

This Lodge exceeded our expectations by far. We were blown away by the care and attention that had been put into planning and preparing the Lodge – everything had been thought of, and it is set in the most beautiful surroundings, with an enclosed outdoor area. It is extremely comfortable, cosy and was an incredible place to relax and rejuvenate with Quinn, our Spaniel – who also absolutely loved it too! We would give this ‘over 5 stars’ and will most definitely be returning. We could not recommend this Lodge highly enough.
