Ropewalk Cottage sleeps up to three guests in two bedrooms and sits in an enviable position in the attractive coastal market town of Lymington on the edge of the New Forest National Park. One of the most sought after areas on the south coast, the cottage has off-street parking for 1 car and secluded outside seating areas. This location offers the perfect mix of forest and coast where you can enjoy sailing, fishing, golf, bird watching, walking, pony trekking and cycling the tracks and trails of the forest.
Sitting so close to the water, there are plenty of vibrant nautical views from the balcony, with with the Solent and Isle of Wight on the horizon and small boats being launched from the slipway beside Ropewalk Cottage and larger vessels cruising up and down the river. There are fantastic walks that can be enjoyed directly from the cottage taking you around the sea wall in the Keyhaven nature reserve, or alternatively, relax on the balcony and take in the ever changing scene around you. Children over 6 years old welcome. Dogs not allowed.
Lymington has much to offer visitors with plenty of restaurants, pubs, interesting shops and boutiques, along with the historic High Street with its bustling Saturday weekly market - all just a ten minute walk from Ropewalk Cottage. You can also catch a ferry from Lymington to the Isle of Wight for a day trip.
A short drive away takes you to the New Forest National Park where you will find a host of attractions to suit all ages including Beaulieu National Motor Museum, Buckler's Hard, Exbury Gardens and Steam Railway, Milford on Sea beach and Lyndhurst, the 'capital' of the forest to name just a few.
