Guests can dine at the popular Lanes restaurant which is next door to the cottage or wander onto the High Street to find a good selection of pubs, shops, Tesco and Marks & Spencer food hall. If you want a slightly longer walk then the busy Quay with further shops, pubs and café’s is a 10 minute walk.  Lymington has plenty of amenities including a community cinema and outdoor seawater baths open from June to September with walks along the sea wall to Milford on Sea forming part of the Solent Way. St Barbe Museum and Art Gallery a family friendly Museum with interesting art exhibitions is a five minute walk from the cottage and well worth a visit. For days out from Lymington by train you can take the 5 minute ride to the Ferry terminal and embark on the car ferry for the enjoyable sail across the Solent to Yarmouth on the Isle of Wight. Take bikes on the train to the picturesque village of Brockenhurst where you can enjoy a day exploring the wonderful New Forest on foot or bicycle.
